Brilliant cure. Put some bicarbonate of soda in the the flask and fill it up with boiling water. All the smell will go.
I used to get a powder from Boots that was specifically for cleaning flasks, (my Old Man's flask used to get really stinky), I don't know if all Boots stores sell it, but I should think somewhere like Robert Dyas or possibly Woolworth's might have it. Alternatively you could try looking online. (The manufacturer was Thermos itself)
Rinse and wash as normal, then add some bicarbonate of soda and boiling water put lid on and shake the flask, leave for a while then rinse out and leave flask uncapped lid side at the side. That should help. Also very occasionaly clean with a weak bleach solution, but don't forget to rinse well. Also use a bottle brush to clean with.
Put newspaper torn up into bits with boiling water, leave to stand for half anhour and wash out
get a new one.
I leave them over night in boiling water with a drop of bleach in as long as its well rinsed in the morning its grand. My dad used to use a sterident tablets.
Bicarbonate of soda and boiling water, leave to soak overnight and wash and rinse thouroughly.
no need to buy special cleaners, just fill it with water and put a drop of bleach in it but remember to swill well before use
Hi you could try vinegar( white) inside it with the last rinse.
Try the same with a rinse including bicarbonate of soda
when you store it don't put the top back on as that is why it gets smelly.- Let the air get into it.
