If it's on wallpaper you will need to pull off the parts with mold and replace it. If it's tile you can scrub it clean with a baking soda, salt and vinegar mixture. Not many ppl realize that the exhaust fan in a bathroom is for sucking up moisture not odors. Make sure it is clear of dust buildup and turn it on when bathing, leave it on for ten minutes after wards. Mold is a very dangerous thing for your baby to be around. It will cause asthma problems all his/her life. If it's close to the ceiling you have a water leak from your attic, caused by normal moisture but you need to check it for wood rot and replace it. Easiest way to find it is poke a small hole in the ceiling by the wall where the mold is and run a coat hanger thru it, when you go in the attic you will see the hanger. Good luck and if you can't do this call someone that can it's an easy, cheap repair.
If you go to supercenter they have cleansers safe for infants ...take care of that precious
a weak solution of bleach (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) would be idea...however you may try rubbing a lemon (or lime) on the grout it help eliminate mold/mildew. For tough areas sprinkle salt on the lemon and really scrub.
Hope this helps.
you can purchase various cleansers which state they remove mildew. Most of them contain laundry bleach. You can make your own solution of laundry bleach and water. A Clorox bottle has the mixture listed on its label. Just scrub the areas with this solution.
diluted bleach would be ok, or maybe try sterilising fluids etc, mould and mildew are living things plenty of fresh air circulation and no damp humidity will stop them anyway
This is effective and very easy use a lemon slice it in half and do it that way
As long as you ventilate and close door to bathroom it'll be safe-bleach is the answer. Having mold is far more toxic than bleach
Either diluted vinegar or lemon juice. You can add baking soda to lemon juice to make a paste, works well on mold and mildew.
A couple drops of essential oil (such as lavender or sweet orange) added to vinegar makes it smell better, but regardless, the smell will disappear quickly.
You can clean just about anything with either of these, perfect for kitchen and bathroom, cheap and non-toxic.
