How do you get rid of carpet beetles and there lavea?

Question:they are hairy and brown and live in the carpet and between floor boards-help

Answers:
Burn the lot ...

Try a light dusting of Boric Acid. It is a lightweight white powder used to kill roaches. Brand Name is Roach-Pruf but you should be able to buy it under the generic ingredient name Boric Acid for much cheaper.

It is much less toxic then the name implies. Boric Acid should be harmless if used in small doses.
First shop vac the floor, floor boards, and furniture thoroughly, then use a steam cleaner and clean the carpets. If you have floor rugs or any drapes or curtains on windows take them down and wash them and then put them in the dryer on the hotest setting and run for an hour. If you can't do the rug take it to the dry cleaners. Also vacuum and pillows!

Put boric acid in the floor board cracks and crevices after you have done the above..
Try the ant lkiller powder.
Well i don't no about anyone Else, but i would have to throw out the carpet(there obviously breeding in your carpet)...
then hoover in between the floor boards, and clean it out..even spray some sort of bug spray after a good clean...
good luck.
Personally, I have truly never heard of anyones carpeting containing such nastiness. If you vacuum everyday, clean your baseboards, and shampoo periodically, there should not be a problem. However, if you have physically seen them (yuk!), then rip it out and call in the exterminator. Id have been checked into a hotel the minute I saw anything like that in my home. Maybe its not what you call "carpet beetles".but other critters caused by leaving food laying around, crumbs on the floor, lack of housekeeping.
