SOS pads work well but it does take energy on your part to operate the SOS pads!
I get the grill hot then wade up a piece of newspaper...rub back and forth, side to side. Only takes a minute.
Remove burned-on grease and food stains from your stainless steel cookware by mixing 1 cup distilled vinegar in enough water to cover the stains (if they're near the top of a large pot, you may need to increase the vinegar). Let it boil for five minutes. The stains should come off with some mild scrubbing when you wash the utensil
Clean oven racks
Get the cooked-on grime off your oven racks by laying them out on an old towel in a large washtub. You can also use your bathtub, though you might need to clean it afterward. Fill the tub with warm water and add 1/2 cup ammonia. Let the racks soak for at least 15 minutes, then remove, rinse off, and wipe clean.
Good Luck !
Just yesterday was discussing this with someone; we both heard you can take the grill grate and place it in a garbage bag, wash it down with ammonia; seal the bag (doing this outdoors) leave it overnight and the grease washes off easily. Also works with stubborn baked-on foods on pots and pans. Really old grills I've taken oven-cleaner and used as directed. I've never tried it on a new grill yet. (talking about charcoal grills) . We just got a gas grill and besides using a wire grill brush on grates, haven't tried cleaning the grill bowl. Everyone tells me they leave the grill itself alone and let the heat burn it off. Good Luck!
Spray on some oven cleaner and let it sit 30 minutes. Then wipe off like you would your oven. If it's on pretty thick, use an sos pad with the oven cleaner.
