How can I get red nail polish out of beige carpet?
Question:I tried polish remover but that didn't work.
Answers:
You can use "Goo Gone", Lighter fluid, or graffit remover. I have used all of them and they were all safe of the carpets I tested.
All of them require a little scrbbing but, it will come out.
When finished, clean the area with clean tap water to remove the cleaning chemical.
Good Luck
Try using basic rubbing alcohol. If you're left with a little color on the carpet, shaving cream will help take it out.
Acetone or nail polish remover, do a test spot first.

Tips & Warnings

* Always test the cleaning solutions on an inconspicuous area of the carpet before applying them to a large area.
* Use a white cloth rather than a colored one to prevent any dyes from coming off on the carpet.
* As you blot, keep turning the cloth so that you are using a clean, dry section to pick up the stain and the cleaning fluids from the carpet. Don't rub.
* If using a brush to help clean the stain, always brush from the outer edges of the spill inward to prevent the stain from spreading.
* Do not use nail-polish remover as it may bleach the carpet.
