Downey softener ball?
Question:I have a top loading washing machine and i recently purchased a downey softener ball that you're supposed to throw in the washer at the beginning of the wash cycle. my ball does not open could it be that my washing machine spin cycle dosen't go fast enough? any suggestions would be appreciated this is getting frustrating=(

I had the same PROBLEM. Don't know what the reason was but I got rid of it. You might try not over filling it. Or do like me and practice your slam dunks lol. Good Luck
That's the only thing I can think of...sorry.
I have tried those before and I did not care for them. You might just have to listen for the final rinse cycle and then add softener.
