How do you remove rust stains?

Question:in my shower i have rust stains from shaving cream sitting there and i want to remove them

Answers:
I agree it depends on the material of your shower. If your shower is non-porous, such as fiberglass, you should be able to remove it rather easily with a slight abrasive cleaner such as Bon Ami. Will do the job and not harm the environment.

If it is porous, such as some tiles, this is bad. You shouldn't have a shower made of porous materials. You will need to use something, such as a CLR, to get it out. Be careful because this could discolor your tile. Try it in "an inconspicuous area" first. Once all stains are removed, seal the tile. You can get tile sealant at any home improvement store.

CLR, you can get it fro most markets and stores
Plain vinegar or lemon juice. Depending on the material of your shower, you may also use a strong brush.
Depends how thick is it. Any heavy duty tarnish remover will do it. Home depot has lots of products for it. Good luck!
