How do I deodorize wet carpet?

first try and get all the water vaccuumed out of your carpet. Then I would use probably vinegar and water in a steamvac machine to get the smell out if you don`t wow you are going to have a smelly moldy carpet. Make sure you don`t use your regular vaccuum as it will ruin it and electrical shock you!
Rent a carpet cleaner. The cleaning solution will have a deodorizer in it. Also you can often buy additional deodorizing solution when you rent the carpet cleaner.
Best to have professionals come and steam clean your carpet, otherwise, it will become moldy. Poor you can imagine how much work it is cleaning up after all that rain. Hope you get the problem solved soon
