How do i get milk stain/smell out of a matress?
Question:i have just been told that my son spilt his milk drink in bed night before last (yuk...i know!!)
we have washed all bedding and can see where some got through to the matress itself but i have no idea how to try and get the stain out/ remove the nasty smell that is going to happen if i can't clean it.
it is a really thick sprung matress..
any help or ideas FAST will be much appreciated!

bicarbonate of soda, sprinkle it over the area and then wash with a damp cloth this will take the smell away if not the stain
Cillit bang is good. Anything smelly soapy and a bit of scrubbing should work fine.

Use a HOT wash cloth to wipe the area really good and then squirt some odor killer spray on it.. like OdoBan or Fabreeze and let dry. Should take care of it in one try.
I can suggest this, Use Milton Sterilizing solution, it´s used for cleaning new born baby´s bottle´s , this will rid the smell

I did mine with a steam cleaner (after washing with soap and water first), then made sure it was dry befor using it.
The Oz clean carpet power spray (got mine from Tesco ) is good too it got rid of a nasty smelly mark from my carpet.
try an upholstery cleaner there are many different types available

Squirt a soloution of vinegar on it, acid content of the vinegar will dilute it , check out the www.vinigarpage.com it may advise you more.
I don't really think you you will get rid of the smell,it was an expensive glass of milk.
