My Niece has just drawn all over wooden desk top with permanent ink pen ! What can i do to remove it ?

Question:Tried vinagar did not work

Answers:
Very simple - just use the SAME pen and draw over the exact line of scribble and while still wet, quickly wipe away with a soft cloth. Do small pieces at a time for best result. Repeat 'til all gone! Good luck!

Did you try rubbing alcohol? It might make it smear more though...
rub it down i'm afraid
White Spirit, harsh language and a bit of elbow grease.
Acetone or trichloroetheane will remove the mark but most likely also remove any varnish

I possible work around is very fine -000- wire wool . it will dull the varnish but you should be able to repair the dull appearence with several coats of thinned down varnish .

Failing that its stripping and revarnishing
You don't have a can of OOPS! in your house? Get some quick and keep it around...it has saved the day for me countless times!
It depends on what the surface is like.

If it's a varnished surface, gentle rubbing with a cloth soaked in lighter fuel works well with most pens; or else use natural 'Sticky Stuff Remover', which is sold in most supermarkets.

If it's a bare wood surface and the ink has soaked in, then all you can really do is try the above to get the worst of the ink out, and then sand down the area with a very fine grade of sandpaper (e.g. 240).

With a polished surface, try the liquids first. They'll likely dissolve the polish a bit as well. Let it dry, and then touch up with either a bit of French Polish or Patina Gel rubbed in with a soft cloth.

Good Luck!
I have used cigarette ash and a damp cloth for years.
The ash is so fine it cleans with out damaging any surface.
I would try the rubbing alchol as well. Spirit oil, but that may take the finish off the desk.
Use methylated spirits, Wipe with a soft cloth. Methylated spirits also removes grass stains
I would just ask the Aunty to remove it!....oh you mean the ink stains, You may have to rub it down and re-finish or claim on your insurance, they may pay for it to be done professionally'
permanent is just that, you could try acetone but it Will remove the varnish you may have to sand it down and re varnish soz!
