Where do you put non-liquid detergent in your washing machine?
Question:At my school we have these washing machines where you have to open the door facing you. There is only a compartment for liquid detergent. Do i put the detergent on top of my clothes or in the machine before i load the clothes?
Answers:
The powder detergent goes in the same drawer or compartment that liquid detergent goes in on a front loading machine. Just make sure that the detergent is a "low suds" or "he" formula, or use half as much as you would use in a top loading machine. Front loaders are extremely efficient and use far less water than top loaders and thus need less detergent to get your clothes clean.
Put the powder detergent in as the water is running so it can dissolve, then add clothes.
doesnt matter...just as long as u dont forget to add the laudry soap.
Put around on your clothes or if you don't feel safe doing that,
liquify it in a pitcher, then put it in on your clothes.
i usually fill the machine with water first then add the soap then the clothes but it all depends how much time you have i mean you can put the clothes in then the soap and be on your way really isn't a wrong or right way to it.you could also just fill a bucket with water and dissolve the soap first
Can you open the machine after you have started the filling of water process?
If so, let it fill a bit, put the powder in and try to dissolve it a bit.
If you cannot open the machine, I would put the detergent in first and put the clothes on top of it. Front loaders have alot of tumbling action and should dissolve the detergent easily.
I know from expirience that if you put the detergent on top of the clothes and it gets into a crease, you will end up with paste in the end.

I am with sallyvisualfuture's answer. For front loaders, the powder detergent goes in the same place as the liquid detergent. Put clothes in, close door and measure your detergent in the compartment, cause once you start the machine, the door can't be opened til the machine stops...I found this out the hard way a long time ago. Good Luck!
you can add it before or after you put the clothes in. I like to put a little in first, then add the clohtes and then add the rest of the detergent once the clothes are all inside.
