How do you get a zipper to stay up on your pants?

Question:I have one pair of pants that fit great, but every time I sit down, the zipper goes down. How can I fix this?

Answers:
Often the zipper slide is worn inside or just a bit too loose. To tighten up the slide, use noseplyers and while the zipper is up pinch gently on the lower end, and try, pinch, try etc. That usually is a bit easier than replacing a zipper. Good luck.

Try pushing down on the thing you use to zip up your pants, once you have pulled it up all the way.
Replace the zipper at the tailors.
try getting a size bigger.
take them to the dry cleaner and have them put in a new zipper it usually doesn't cost much compared to a new pair of great fitting pants. The little piece that is supposed to hold them up when the zipper pull is pushed back might be broken off.
in my favorite pants, i use a small safety pin on the inside of the zipper to keep it up. zip the pants up, then put the pin just under the pulley!! it's a pain when you have to "go" really bad, but a good temporary fix.
take a small rubber band (like the ones used for braids) and loop it through the hole in the zipper then when you pull the zipper up loop the rubber band onto the button of your pants
