What can I do to keep autographs from washing out of my jeans?
Question:I just got a whole bunch of autographs on my jeans in Sharpie. Is there anything I can do to make sure they don't wash out?
Thanks!
Answers:
don't wash the jeans, hopefully they weren't ur fav pair :-P
Heat sets a stain so I would say put them in the dryer first on high for 15 - 20 minutes. They will probably set better if the jeans were washed prior to the autographs. Hope this helps!!
You can trace them all in sharpie then put them in the dryer or iron them that should keep them in. After that you can wash them.
You were smart to use a Sharpie. You should be fine with a few washings, but I'd keep them to a minimum. Be sure to use cold water. Probably best to air dry them as well. I have an autographed hat all covered with Sharpie ink that I've washed a couple times and it's been fine.
Don't dump food on them.
Don't play in mud with them on.
Don't pee in them.
Don't poop in them.
Do shower before you wear them
Do wear them for less than 4 hours at a time.
Do lay them out to air after wearing.
You shouldn't have to wash them if you follow that. Otherwise, risk loosing the autographs.
Do you embroider? That will make them permanent. Many colors of floss will make the jeans really pretty. Black will look like ink.
either embroider over the names as they were written or get someone else to do it for you then they will never fade
