Does anyone know how to remove ink from white leather sofas?
Question:my two year old drew on my brothers white sofas, can anyone help before he gets back tomorrow.
Answers:
Try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser. That product is amazing!
You can find it anywhere; grocery stores, Walmart, Target, etc. I think it will work for you.
Try spraying some hairspray on it, then wipe off. I have also heard of using a white rubber art eraser, but have not actually tried that ! Good luck.
I know this sounds odd, but try baby wipes. They are little miracles. Also...Dawn power dissolve...I have used it on my leather recliner before...though I think it says not too.
I would call your local dry cleaners and ask them for advice. I know alcohol will dissolve ink but on white leather, I think it might leave a light bit of ink that will be permanently embedded. You might also call an upscale furniture store. They may have something that you can buy to fix the problem.
Good luck!
Assuming you mean ink from a pen:
If the surface is coated (has a sheen) spray it with hair spray (the cheaper, the better) and wipe clean.
If the surface is sueded (not coated), saturate a white cloth with hairspray and daub until the sofa is clean again. Repeat process with club soda to get the hairspray out.
Isopropyl alcohol (available from your pharmacy) is the best substance to remove the ink stain. First test it on an inconspicuous area. DO NOT be tempted to use hairspray (you may receive some suggestions here) as, yes, it contains alcohol but other substances in it may cause discoloration.
only white wine.
Baby wipes...Gently wipe the ink with the baby white.. This should take if right off...If there is a little left, put some alcohol on the baby wipe and wipe it off. It will work. I got ink all over a brand new $250 LV purse and this worked..Good Luck
