When you get home, where does your purse go?
Question:For the ladies: When you get home, where do you put your purse?
I put my purse on the kitchen table, kitchen chair or kitchen counter top.
Answers:
Put your purse where you would put your shoes. Our purse or handbag as it is known in Australia is put on floors, toilet floors, ground, car floors and so on. A sample was taken from several handbags and put under the microscope, what was found to be on them was scary. All sorts of bugs that cause food poisening, gastro-entiritis etc.
So, put your purse/handbag anywhere but where you eat, drink etc.
Hook in kitchen on wall may work for you.
I hang it on a hook in the kitchen, right next to my keys.
i work 12 hour shifts, so my purse goes on my night stand.
Always in my room - either on the floor, the hook, or my bed. I have a big family so putting it in the kitchen would be a disaster, I might not be able to find it later.
Why? Are you going to break in my house and rob me?? Just kidding =)
I have an extremely bad habit of just tossing my purse anywhere when I get home and I spend valuable time looking for it everytime I go back out. I hate admitting that, but it's the truth. And of course you know I'm the first one to yell at the kids when they do that stuff.
Alot of people lock it in the trunk of the car, Which is ok I guess, If you dont keep your keys in your purse.
My purse stays in my handbag, which is by far the safest place for it.
in the living room next to the sofa on the floor just off the kitchen.
You could put it in the laundry room if that is close to the door you come in and out of. Install a hook for it on the wall or put a rack over the door that has lots of hooks.
Personally, I work in a smoky bar, so when I get home from work, my purse stays in the garage to keep the odor at bay.
HOWEVER, I have been told to always keep your purse, as well as your cell and your keys, on your nightstand next to you while you sleep. That way, if emergency strikes (break in, or what have you), you have all the necessary items RIGHT by you.
purse usually ends up on the chair by the door, or on the kitchen table. but...the keys, well, it seems that the key fairy moves them around on me every day! i can never find them where i "left" them. wonder if that key fairy is the same as the sock fairy that takes one sock from the dryer each time. hmmmmmm
I usually hang my purse on my bedroom door on the inside that way if i have company no one knows where it is in case i happen to go to bathroom an forget where it is.dont have to worry about anyone stealing money out of it that way...i think that would be the safest place anyway.
I hang mine on the inside door knob of the coat closet. (When I remember.) :)
Good question Sweetheart!! I would suggest hanging your purse on a hook on the inside of your closet door. As you walk in the door you already have your key chain in your hand, that should be hung up on a key hook by the door (cant miss them as you go out). Take your cell out of your purse, but because of the bacteria on the bottom of your purse...don't set it down, put it on the sturdy hook on the inside of the closet door. You can always go back in to get your wallet, receipts and what not. That goes the same for a diaper bag. That, for sure has been placed on many bathroom floors...never put that on your counter, table or any possible food surfaces. To hang them, so that you can reach into them without baby or pets getting into them, is best. Put the hook higher up so the bulk of the bag is at waist height and easy to reach. A good practice to get into.
First off let me share this tid bit I saw on some news show. Never put your purse on a table or counter. They did studies and tested many different womens purses. Wow what they found!! Germs galore. Traces of vomit feces etc. The show said that a purse goes where we go and that not all those places are the cleanest. Ex. public restroom. Going out to eat things like that where our purses end up everywhere!! Put it on a floor with your shoes. I have ever since I watched that!! Good luck
If you have a kitchen door, then put a hook in back of the door and put it there, I keep my on the closet door in my bedroom.
