I used one of those pads to hold rugs in place on carpet, and now the carpet is sticky. How do I clean this?

I would start with a floor cleaner and if that didn't work I'd get down there with my trusty straight razor and scrape it off very gently.

baby powder and flour will only hide the sticky. you need to use alcohol or finger nail polish remover, or gas, or goof off which can be bought at home depot

I WOULD TRY A PRODUCT CALLED GOO B GONE..IT GETS RID OF ALL THE GOOEY STUFF AS IF IT WEREN'T THERE..CAN BE FOUND IN WALMART OR OTHER STORES OF THE LIKE
