How do I soften painters pants?
Question:I have white painters pants that are stiff as a board! I have washed them more than two dozen times, soaked them in bleach water over an hour, used fabric softener, but to no avail. Will anything soften them?
Answers:
Soften Stiff Clothing
If your clothes feel stiff after washing, usually this means that too much detergent is left in the clothing. To prevent this from happening, try using less detergent, adding a commercial rinse agent or 1 cup of white vinegar to the first rinse, or add an extra rinse cycle. Good Luck! =)
bleach will stiffen fabric so no wonder they are like a rock lol, a clothes dryer will soften up clothes and stiff towels use on a warm heat setting for at least half an hour. If however the fabric feels "crunchy" you may need to loosen the paint stains by using a mixture of white vinegar and warm water for 10 minutes before washing.
