Mold Question?
Question:I have mold growning on the rubber ring surrounding the inside of my front-loading washer drum. I try to keep the door open so air is cirulating and I use a paint brush to brush on Purex after every wash. The mold remains. Any suggestions? This is an expensive well-known, brand washing machine.
Answers:
Vinegar kills mold, so I would scrub the rubber ring with full strength white distilled vinegar. Between loads I would make sure to wipe down the ring with an old rag or towel, so that I know it is dry.
report this to the manufacterer.they need to know the defects and it could be replaced free.

do a wash load with bleach in instead of soap powder be sure to run another wash with soap and no clothes to be sure you wont ruin clothes with bleach
I agree with downsouth too. The manufacturer needs to know about this and will probably resolve it for you.
