Answers:
Clean Out Bad Refrigerator Smell
1. Empty your refrigerator. This is a good time to get rid of anything old, moldy, smelly or unidentifiable. Throw it all away.
2. Unplug your refrigerator When cleaning any electrical appliance, turn off the appliance, and unplug it before cleaning for safety reasons.

3. Scrub, rinse, and dry. Use a rag and cleaning solution. One idea is to fill up your sink with warm water and a ½ cup of baking soda. If your fridge is especially dirty you may want to use bleach diluted in water. Keep washing until there is no more evidence of food or spillage. Remember to clean all bins, shelves, and any removable parts. Also, make sure to clean out the drip pan down below.

4. Reload your fridge minus the smelly stuff.

Deodorize
There are several ways to deodorize and get rid of bad refrigerator smell. Choose a method that suits your home… coffee-lovers will enjoy the fresh smell of coffee grounds while others prefer the sweet scent of vanilla.

Baking Soda and Vanilla
The most common method for odor absorption is baking. If your refrigerator is extra stinky, mix about ½ cup of baking soda with a tablespoon or two of vanilla extract.

1. Either cut the top off of the Baking Soda box or pour some baking soda into a plastic container.

2. Place the baking soda in your fridge, uncovered.

3. When the smell is absorbed, remove the Baking Soda and replace it with a fresh supply. At this stage, you may place a box of Baking Soda in the fridge that is only slightly opened as you have made it to the main-the-good-smell stage!

Coffee Grounds
The coffee grounds will absorb odors with a side effect that coffee-lovers will appreciate – making your fridge smell like a coffee shop for a few days.
