I have a problem.?
Question:I have a problem with giant, black, carpenter ants. They appear occasionally in my bedroom. I kill on average 4 a day. I think they would be gone because once I kill them I look for more and there isn't any. They next day they reappear. I want to get to the source of the problem. I want a sure fire way to destroy the main ants. I've come to belive that the ones I have been killing are the scouts. I want a way to get rid of the problem without having to do any construction or hire a terminator. If anybody has any helpful hints or can give me some help, I would appriciate it dearly.

For ants on the counter top, wipe down counter top with white undiluted vinegar. To prevent ants from coming into the house, or getting into cupboards, sprinkle dried mint or red pepper where they are entering the house and in the cupboards. If you know where the anthills are make a mixture of 50 percent borax (sold in laundry aisle of supermarkets) and 50 percent confectioner's sugar and place near anthill. The ants are attracted to the sugar and carry the fatal borax/sugar combination back to the nest to feed the queen and other ants. Soon all ants will be dead. Do not put this mixture where children and pets can ingest it. To get rid of anthills, pour 3 gallons of boiling water down them. This is best when done when the ants are active and at the surface. Do not do it near flowers or they will die.
they are eating your house depending on the type of construction maybe they are termite scouts. Begin sprinkling diasinone granules around the house foundation, spray the walls drilling a Small hole 1/8 between each stud and Spackle the holes.
ASAP get some ant traps. They really attract them and they take the poison back home and they will never come back again. It takes a week for the ant traps to work. Change them regularly. Do not eat in your bedroom, vacuum it well and trust the traps.
If the traps don't work within 3 weeks, get one of those bug bombs from home depot. Leave the house with all the pets, leave the rooms as the smoke appears. Don't inhale it too much, follow the manufacturer's recommendations.

lay down a line of boric acid around the perimeter of your home - in the rooms where you find ants, put down a fine line of it around your baseboards
make sure to follow the directions on the bottle, take care if you have kids or pets
