Weird smell in the freezer? What is it?
Question:Ok so no matter if its cleaned out, empty or packed my freezer has a very peculiar smell to it. My old one had the same problem and this one is fairly new. Does anyone know what Im talking about and if so, is there something I can do to fix this problem? I jst recently tried cleaning it with a little sos and made sure I cleaned it all out and it still has that odd smell.
Please help.

arms and hammer baking soda.. it helps keep the smell out of your frigde.. you just leave it in there and it will help you will notice the difference (once you cleand the fridge and apply the arms and hammer baking soda.. in it.. in about a few days)

You can find this product usually at any brand store like zellers or wallmart.. just ask the helpers there and they will show you the place where its located..
Sounds like a dead body smell.
But you say you've cleaned it out.
try a bowl of baking soda for a few days.
I know it work in my fridge freezer.
Try it.

Aways Keep an open fresh box of baking soda it there.
you may have a freon leak it does smell if leaking. also check in vent area where the compressor is and may have a dead rodent in the coils or about. good luck if anything i would call a repair man

it could be where the smell is coming from
and use hammer baken soda, it soaks up the bad odors, and keeps it smelling fresh
firstly, KEEP baking soda in the fridge at all times - any fridge you have.
smells are typically bateria - reclean with light bleach- really diluted.You may need to go back and rewipe to remove the bleach.
Each time you defrosh the fridge you run the risk of discovering new smells - don't do it often
If it persists, check the temperature in and around the fridge (seals) for warm spots.
Lastly, if smell is still there or returns after you clean it, you may have a function issue
Put some Vanilla Escence in a spray bottle and mix with water and spray into the EMPTY freezer. Then wipe.
Put half of the lime or lemon in your freezer or clean the freezer with the lemon or lime juice.Whatever you put in the freezer ,cover every container with the plastic wrap or lid. I think it should work.All the best.
