How do i melt glass?

Question:How do i melt glass? its a pretty easy question

Answers:
Your question is very vague therefore not so easy to answer. Are you trying to melt to a liquid,or trying to soften it up to bend or slump,or are you trying to bond two pieces together. Each of these require different temperatures and or different types of equipment to heat with.Melting to liquid can be done with electric or gas in a furnace that has a crucible and is designed to withstand temperatures up to 2,400 degrees Fahrenheit.Slumping or bending can be done in an electric kiln that can withstand temperatures up to1,600 degrees. To bond glass pieces together you can use a gas torch or a much larger piece of equipment called a glory hole, which is basically a huge torch. And then depending on what type and size of the glass you are trying to melt you will need a kiln with a controller to heat and cool the glass, glass that is heated or cooled too fast will just shatter

Im not certain but i believe the process requires superheating and super coolingl I am also not sure that you can in fact melt glass that has already become solid unless you were to crush it back down into powder first.
melting glass would require it to be at least 1,000 deg centigrade or more to soften and remould it, leave it to the professionals.
