Fabric softener.

Well cooking with fried foods will cause this and if your washer has a pump problem you could be getting it in your washer. But first if you are using fabric softener and are pouring it on your clothes directly this could cause spots that appear like grease.

Anti static towels in the dryer can leave a greasy spot on dark synthetic clothing.

Dryer sheets/fabric softener is notorious for that.

Cold be fabric softener or chapstick left in your pocket during the dry cycle
