I accidently washed my merino wool jumper in the wasing machine when it was supposed to be handwashed how muc?

Question:much have i damaged it and how do i reverse the damage.

Answers:
It may have shrunk, or it may be fine. If you didn't put it in the dryer, then it should be fine. If it has shrunk, there are a couple of things you can do for it: If it is a thin, smooth fabric, you can iron it to stretch it out. If it's a coarse, knitted fabric (remember, a jumper is a different garment depending on what country you're in, so I don't know if yours is a sweater or a dress), you can block it...lay out a couple of neutral colored towels on the floor and pin the wet sweater to the towels, stretching it back into it's normal size and shape. When it dries, remove it from the towels and it should be back to normal size.
