Is anyone having problems with their Ariston Washer ? Please let me know?

Question:We bought a Compact Ariston Washer & Dryer in Sept. 2005. Other than being a little small, was happy with it untill Jan. 2007 when things started going wrong with it. Now on the 3rd motor, has been leaking, and it stopped in middle of spin cycle and wouldn't even let us get the door open to remove clothes. The appliance place we bought it from says that they are not having problems with the machines, but the service people are telling a different story. Would like to know if anyone else is having problems. Also interested in problems in other small washer/dryer units, as we will not be getting another of the Ariston, and have a small space, so have to find something that will fit.

didnt encounter b4..

I have had an Ariston 1250 washer/dryer since 2000. It was given to me as a wedding present and as such I never got it serviced or complained to the company, but otherwise would have asked for my money back. I also was new to using washing machines, but now know that there are far better ones out there than this one. the washing machine is really sick now and I am seriously looking on buying a new washing machine.
It never did the internal heating setting correctly, but was ok in taking warm/cold tap water. Now it does not even take the right temperature water from the tap. Can't trust that nappies get cleaned properly now, so back to disposables. It definately has done the middle of the spin cycle stop for me for many years. I just have to turn the dial back to the start of the spin cycle and it usually finishes it then. Otherwise I just put the dial to where it is in off mode and the child proof switch dissapears after the 5 minute waiting period. When my spin cycle was interrupted, it used to be that the safety switch had kicked in (ie. I had water building up in the sink due to an obstruction and as such it should not have continued draining) but now it does it every time. It also does not move from one dial setting to the next. I just have to move the cycle along manually. Don't believe that this is very efficient or gets a good wash done. The dryer has only been used a couple of times as it takes forever. Also, I never appreciate having the fluff created inside during a drying cycle appear on the next washing lot of clothes. Was very dissapointed with the front lip seal. It always collects lots of water on the top, which leaks out when door is opened and under the lip that if not removed via cloth will collect mold. The spin cycle's ending we call 'the airoplane is landing' it is so noisy.
