I need to lay lanolium in the laundry room. I had to tear up the carpet. Do I need to scrape off the foam?

Question:My water heater broke and spilled all over the wood floor (with the foam and carpet on top). I had to remove the foam and carpet, but a thin (not too thin) layer of foam is still stuck to the floor. Should I try to scrape off all the foam before laying the self-adhesive lanolium on the wood floor, or can I just lay the lanolium on top of the thin layer of foam?

Answers:
Yes, or it will not stick good and be lumpy and bumpy...You could try using a flat nosed shovel to make the job a little easier.Good Luck!=)

only if you want the linoleium to stick to the floor.
scrape; make sure the wood floor is level before you put
anythng on top of it.
Yes, otherwise it will not lay flat. Goo-b-gone and goo off will work well to remove the left over foam.
