Can I wash leather seat covers?

Question:I have a rail buggy that I drive off road in the mud. The leather seat covers are really muddy. I have tried spraying them off with the hose and that is not working too good. Is it ok to throw them in the wash machine? I wash my leather shoes all of the time and they come out alright but I paid alot of money for these seat covers and don't want to ruin them. If not in the washing machine, any other suggestions would be great.

Answers:
I would limit water exposure to expensive leather as much as possible. Perhaps a damp cloth is good, but a hose...no way.
At least use a protectant such as Lexol to condition and protect.

yes of course
but you have to use wash cussion leather care.
cannot use other type, scare it will make your leather faded.
just go to car accessories shop and make sure you buy SOFT 99 original. dont buy china made.
