Magic Mr.Clean pads.Just with Water, that's all you need.

Mix a 50-50 mixture of chlorine bleach and water. Rinse with cool water once the dirt has lifted and been wiped away.
Yes, chlorine and water is alright, works well for cleaning but it will not restore the white of the joints.
If I were you I will try to re-grout the joints with a grey grout It will make life so much easier for you.
What Stan P suggests, and if there is any sealant residue remaining, a few quick strokes with an old toothbrush or a small scrub brush oughtta do the trick. Just make sure you wipe away all the residue and rinse thoroughly with water. If you're going to re-apply sealant, the grout should be left to dry for a good 6 - 10 hours before hand.
ZEP makes a product called grout cleaner & whitener that you should be able to get at Home Depot and Lowes. Im a Holiday Inn Maintenance Man and swear by the product. I have 25 yr old grout(beige when applied but hasnt been cleaned in many many years due to non-working maint. employees) and i take my bottle witch has a squirt type tip and just run it down the grout lines, let it sit 10 seconds, and take a small brush with little pressure and go over it. then wipe with a rag and mop. Ive also done it without the brush and just squirting it on and wiping it off 10 secs. later was amazing. Its not very expensive and well worth it. Also sealer should be applied yearly 8o) for heavily used areas or whenever water will absorb the slightest bit. So buy ZEP, youll love it.
Use an old toothbrush to clean out the dirt.. then go to your home supply center and get paint that will match your grout. I had professionals do this cleaning and painting thing and now that I see what they did I could have done it for a lot less I would never recommend it to anyone but they did fix my loose tiles and replaced a few.. and so far that has worked out fine.
