How can i remove dog urine smell from floor in a mobile home i removed the capret but smell is on wood also?

Question:I have 2 small dogs that seems to have urinated on my bedroom floor. I removed the carpet and padding but the wood under the carpet has absorbed the odor and nothing I try will work. I need to clean it before putting down new flooring.

Answers:
Its almost impossible to remove the smell of urine from wood, but what you can do is dry it up and paint it with an oil based paint or polyurethane. That will encapsulate the odor, then you can recarpet. (keep the dogs out)

one thing will help is lett it air out for awhile
plus they have several chemicals you can get at walmart and other places that will help. Chances are you will not remove all odors

be carefull with trailor floors they use pres wood and get soaked to much with anything can cause big problems
i have a dog too,and go to a pet store and ask them i tried and they give a lot of advice.
pet oder eliminator its a enzime based dproduct . then varnish the floor
Go to a pet store, and there is a cleaner that has a special bacteria that eats the dog urine. This gets rid of the smell.
Paint the floor with kiltz and re carpet or vinyl should hold the odor in.
I have used bleach. You just wash it down and then let it dry real good. If this does not work they do have things in the cleaning area. Like shampoo cleaner and they also have pet odor stuff.

Goodluck...
There really is a product called Urine be gone. If that does not do it then before you lay the new carpet pad lay a plastic liner down. It will stop the odor from escaping.
Good old bleach works better than anything, IMO. I would SOAK the area with bleach.
My cat did this under my bed on my newly refinished wood floor. I sprinkled baking soda all over the floor and made sure it went down in the cracks. I left it there for a few days then cleaned the floor. No more smell!
you'll have to paint it. any good interior paint will work or you can use a vapor sealer primer. careful with that stuff though. make sure the area is really ventilated. my cat did the same thing. we had to paint the floor to get rid of the smell before we re-carpeted.
You will find "NATURES MIRACLE" at most any pet store. It uses natural enzymes to clean and deodorize the urea. There are a few different kinds for different applications so just read and figure out which one will work best for what you need.

Try it and just follow the directions...and best of luck!
