Can smell in towels?
Question:I have 2 cats, (one male one female). They have peed on some of my towels and a few clothing items. I was just wondering, how can i get their smell otu of my towls especially. Is there some home remedy i could use in my washer to make it at least a little better...like vinager, and ive tried amonia. I have done some things but just cant get the smell completely out. Can you recommend something. Thanks

this is why cats are gross. they stink up everything. lol. really though.
throw everyhing away. get new ones. and give your cats away. sorry, but they are just that way. and if u use ammonia it won't work, since it's already in their pee. (i am anti-cat, so can't really anseer youe quesion because i honestly don't know)
Try soaking them in a bucket of vinegar water overnight, rinse them very very well, and then washing them adding some baking soda to the wash. It worked for me.
I have two cats too. Bleach will get it out. So your towels will be fine but unless the clothing articles can survive a washing with a little bit of bleach, they're pretty much trash.
My sister had this problem with some shirts her cat mistook for the litter box.
She said she dissolved 2 boxes of baking soda in some really hot water in the sink, put the clothes in and let them soak for 24 hours. She stirred them up every now and then. Then wrung them out and washed them the regular way. She said everything came out fresh again except for 1 t-shirt. She could smell it faintly when she wore the shirt and got hot and started to perspire .

My cat did this, and I tried all that stuff, it was easier to just toss out the towels and get new ones.
amonia should work, but it should be used on the cats, not the towels.
I dont no of anything you can use , I think I would just throw the towels out , or ask a dry cleaner , maybe they would know ,as they do cleaning on dry cleaning things , they may have a suggestion.
you are pretty muched hooped cat piss is very hard to get out of anything
Hey...I called my mom and asked her what to do and she said make up a kinda paste of baking soda and apple cider vingar...I know u have already used to vinegar. Smear it on the towels and let them sit for over night, wash them out with laundry soap and see if that works...
