How Do I Get Rid Of Wrinkles?
Question:I recently purchased a fabric shower curtain. I absolutely love it and wanted to hang one and have another made into a curtain. However, it was TOTALLY wrinkled when I took it out of the package. I've tried ironing and it works a little bit but doesn't seem to be doing the trick. The care insturctions read: Dry Clean Only. Should I take it to the dry cleaners and see if they have any luck with it? Thanks!
Answers:
buy a special type of cream at the store
Just hanging it will do the trick although it will take a while. Eventually the wrinkles will just fall out.
hang it up and use a blow dryer. Quick strokes across the curtain and the weight of it will help reduce wrinkles.
If it says Dry Clean Only, then I woudl take it to the cleaners. Should only cost $5 at the most and think of all the time you will save from goofing around with hair dryers. They have professional presses that can take the creases right out.
use a gentle wash setting in warm water, fluff dry or out on air dry, that should do yhr trick.
A "Dry Clean Only" Shower curtain? I hope it's in a bathroom you don't use much. Some how a shower curtain that doesn't mix well with water seem like a good idea, wrinkled or not.
once you are taking baths in warm to hot water which steams the room this helps the curtains settle...
but if you want it right away then use a wet rag to dampen the areas of creases and use blow dryer to a warm/hot...
Your shower curtain wrinkles will disappear if you run the shower on hot enough to make steam. If you want to try to take them out your self, you can get a spray bottle and mist the curtain with water and then iron it, or try steaming it with the iron. Another way is to get one of those home dry cleaning kits and mist the curtain a bit with water and them dry in the bag. They usually work for me. Seriously, I have no clue why they would want you to dry clean a shower curtain, but I am assuming it doesn't mean that it can't take ANY water!
