Can I put dryer sheets in the vacuum to make my room smell better?

Question:I thought about it, but haven't tried it before. has anyone tried it? any other suggestions to make my kids' room smell better other than air fresheners that they can get into? They are younger children.

Answers:
No, the vaccume will not breath properly and clog easily
Why dont you just use Febreeze after you vaccume, or sprinkle baby powder on the rug just before you vaccume

I guess you could try it. Or you can buy vacuum fresheners that go in your vacuum cleaner.
it wont work i sucked one up accidentally and i didnt notice a change. try using febreeze. or you can buy rug fresheners sprinkle it then vaccum it up
I seen cedar blocks attached to hangers and you just hang them up in the back of the closet.Do a search for them online they are about $2 / $3 pc and just hang right up in the closet.
well, maybe. u could buy a scented vacuum...just try it they make one
I'm not sure you can put dryer sheets in a vacuum. You can try the AirWick sprayer. The type that you can set the timer for. They last for 30-60 days and they have to be up atleast 6 ft. They come in a small or an Ultra. The small is about $6 where as the Ultra is $10. You can go to www.airwick.com. They have coupons on there. Most public bathrooms have them mounted on their walls. When the spray runs out it can always be replaced.
It does make sense since I've known it is great with storing clothes to avoid smells, insects and mice - I'd use it in the bag or canister after shredding it into small pieces without sucking it up to avoid clogging - but then I think I'd opt for baking soda sprinkled in the carpet for an hour and then vacuum - if that's the source of the smell in the first place - otherwise, febreeze works on all fabric surfaces such as carpets, beds, curtains, and closets - you may even try a carpet powder with a scent or baking soda as a main ingredient (not recommended if the children have asthma or breathing problems)
huh?oh yes
it will be nice
Yes, you can put dryer sheets in a vacuum for a better smelling room, also try placing them under dressers, dresser drawers, mattresses and any cushions. They not only help with oders but repel mice. Even though we may like the smells the mice don't.
they have fragrances that go into the vacuum bag, that wont hurt the children, and smell great. you can however place the dryer sheets in places that cant be seen to make the room smell fresh. I suggest putting them between bedding in the window treatments{hidden} to get a fresh smell... I also use them in the family room between the sofa cushions and tusk them into the curtins... good luck!
get one of those automatic air fresheners and install a shelve or place it on a high place when the kids are asleep and let it work overnight and then in the morning take it out. you could also try a febreze scent story it really works too and it is as easy and safe to use around kids.
