How do I get a horrible smell out of my dryer?
Question:Ok, so my boyfriend washed his stinky work-out sneakers in our washer, then put them in our dryer. Well, when they were done drying he put in a load of towels to dry and they came out STINKING like the sneakers. Now the awful smell will not come out of the dryer and I can't use it because it will make everything reak! What can I do to make the smell go away? HELP me please!? :)
Answers:
1. Use Clorox Disinfecting Wipes on the inside of the dryer and in the lint trap.
2. Wash the inside of the dryer and the lint trap with warm soapy water, then rinse.
Hmmm.maybe you should try to sanitize the dryer in some way, then use a freshener everytime you dry something.
Put one table spoon of a cheaper yet good smellin perfume on a dampend hand towel and dry it through one cycle.
Should work.

I have to add this: the sneakers didn't get clean otherwise they wouldn't have smelled bad, or made your dryer stink.
He should put them back into the washer that's FULL of hot water, add one cup of bleach and wash them TWICE; once with just bleach and the next one with just detergent.
When they're done, stuff them with newspaper instead of putting them into the dryer. They will be dry in less than 24 hours.
You can take a heavy towel and pour a bit of liquid fabric softener on it, then dry it in the dryer and it should take out the smell. Another alternative is to wash out the inside of the dryer with a vinegar and water solution, then use dryer sheets for the next couple of loads.
