I just moved out on my own and I bought disposable plastic plates and spoons and forks?
Question:My question is: do I have to throw away the plates and spoons and forks after one use or can I put it in the refrigerator and reuse it a few times?
Answers:
Throw away the plates(bacteria grows fast when food is combined with saliva). You can wash the spoons & forks in hot water & soap & reuse.
wash them, and reuse them. it is safe.
dont be silly, get your moneys worth, they can be used for at least a week :)
i guess you could wash them, i've seen ppl do that. putting them in the fridge, i don't think that's going to do much good...mold and germs are still in the fridge althought it does keep food fresher. i would at least rinse them off.sa long as they are clean u can use them unil they freakin disinagrate, i suppose, w/ no harm.
You can definitely put it in the fridge and reuse...also if you bought the right kind of plastic plates...they can probably we washed and reused a few times.
to me as long as you can use them would be allright, but honestly that depends on your life style and other friends coming to your house. if you can afford to buy proper one and you are not doing that i should say they make lot of fun of you and etc...
HaHaHa your funny, sounds like a friend of mine.
Just get a cat (or a neighbours cat) and let them lick
your "dishes" clean then you can use them potentially
for ever or at least until you get mange or something or the
cat gets sick and doesn't come around anymore...then I'm afraid you'd have to get new ones.!!
I suggest you hand wash them in the sink with dish soap.
Better yet look for sales and buy your self some real plates and silverware. You can go to a dollar store and find some or Wallmart.
The utensils are yours. You can toss them, or, re-use them at will.
oh, come on! they are called disposable for a reason!
If you are going to wash and re-use them a few times then you might as well buy ceramic/glass plates and cutlery. Disposables are for saving on washing up so if you are washing up anyway then its cheaper in the long run to use ordinary table ware.
Quit being lazy and filling landfills with needless trash. How terrible for the environment. Go out and get non-disposable dishes and wash the immediately after you use them.
I use the heavy duty ones and can even wash them carefully a few times. I have also just rinsed one that I use for my coffee, but for serious use, don't use them if they are dirty! If it's just you, using it with a meal that you don't finish and putting the whole thing in the fridge to finish later should be ok. But remember, they are disposable, and shouldn't be reused to often or they will get cracks for food and germs to get into.
You really ought to wash them; it's not that hard.
Especially wash the forks and spoons. Toss the paper plates. I'm sure it would be okay to put the plate in the fridge overnight once, then wash the next day after you finish the leftovers. You will wish you did wash themif you get a bad case of the runs or food poisoning.
