What is the best way to place moth balls?

Question:I hear something about putting them in a container with a lid but doesn't that defeat the purpose?

Depending on what your using them for. If your using them in a closet, just put them in a paper bag with a small part of the bag left open. They Will not smell as strong and will still do the trick. If you are thinking of storing away clothes while moving, or in a box or plastic container, you can also use dryer fabric sheets instead of moth balls and they work well and smell nicer. tried and true.
