Why has my dishwasher stopped wotking properly?
Question:Recently, my dishwaher has stopped cleaning the dishes properly, please help me sort it as it is causing an alarming amount of domestic unrest in my once peaceful household.

I always find that when this happens to my dishwasher its a couple of things. 1. Try clear out the filter at the bottom. 2. the salt at the bottom of the dishwasher is probably empty a bag of dishwasher salt is only around €1.00. 3. the rinse aid which goes in the door compartment is empty. even if you use the washing tablets with everything in them. I still find that salt and rinse aid r so cheap its worth using them as well. they do make a difference. finally you can get a little bottle of stuff that you put in upside down in the knives and forks basket. its with all the dishwasher stuff in the supermarket. this cleans the whole inside but also the waste pipe out of dishwasher. you put it in on its own in a hot cycle. Id be surprised if you had any trouble after that.
A few possible reasons - the most likely ones are that either the drain at the bottom has become blocked and you just need to clear it - or it has run out of rinse aid and/or salt, which are quite cheap and available at any supermarket. if you top those up and clear the drain and they don't help though something must be a bit more wrong with it - and you'll have to call in a repair man
there is a screw top at the bottom inside the machine under the tray. if you unscrew that you should fill it up with dishwasher salt which you can buy at your local supermarket also next to where you put your washing tablet there is a little lid, you need to open and fill it with a blu liquid thing (iv forgotton the name but just ask at supermarket) until the spy hole thing turns black. then put your tablet in and wash. also check your filter is clean.
They last longer with calgol!
Check the filter is clear, also make sure you are adding enough dish washing salt
check the filters are clean, check the spray arm jets are not blocked, make sure you use Dishwasher salt regular, and don't rely on the all in one tablets, make sure you have rinse aid in the dispencer, other than that you need to call an engineer to check it out.
