I have ugg boots (sheep skin boots) that smell like foot odor.?
Question:I cant get the smell out. I have washed them but it comes back eventually. What will get rid of the smell?
Answers:
If you want to get the smell out of your shoes than you should put baking soda in the shoe ,place shoes in plastic bag and then put it in the freezer over night. It works alot better than any of those sprays for shoes. I know it sounds strange but it's the freezing that actually kills the bad bacteria and the baking soda gets rid of the smell. Also, you can use natural crystal deodorizers. You can place these in your shoes when you are not wearing them. These will stop shoe odor and prevent athlete’s foot.
I hope that this was helpful,Good Luck! :)
LOL...it's not coming from the boots...it's coming from your feet.
spray them with lysol. things like febreeze don't really cut through the odor. the lysol will kill the germs that cause the odor in the first place. also, they could actually still be a bit damp on the inside from washing. make sure they are in a well ventilated area to dry completely
Clove oil! Lay a piece of plastic wrap into shoes and put a drop of clove oil on a cotton ball and place it on plastic wrap to remove the odor. Don't forget to take this out of the shoes before you put them on. You can also use empty film canisters as shoe oedor-busters. Poke holes into the lids and put the essential oil perfumed cotton balls inside. This comes from the famous Heloise, queen of household hints, so I imagine it's reliable advice. Good luck!
ps - You could also try putting unused dryer sheets inside shoes.
