I know how ya feel, my house is the same way I cant stand it either, I clean and clean and it just comes back. I don't think we could do anything about it. some polishes make it worse, so does vacuuming, and kids are even worse especially when I walk around my house and see that my kids have written me letters in the dust
good luck, I hope I can find some answers through your ? too
Are you using pledge. I do and it helps dust not to stick as quickly after you clean.
Leaf blower.
you could try investing in a vaccuum with a hepa filter that does not allow dust back into the air, like a dyson. i have one, and love it! it is an expensive solution, but well worth it.
Damp dusting is the best way as it sticks to the cloth unlike polish which just flicks it in the air for it to settle again. So dust with a damp cloth :) Also try not to have too many Nick knacks etc as it's a pain in the bum having to dust them and move them...
getting a home depot portavac with an end where ya plugin the hose attachment and a concentrator nozzle,,,,,start from one end of house open door at other end,and blow the crap out the door, setting up a lot of stereo speakers attracts dust with a negative charge,,,,they act like an air deionizer, sealing around baseboards with tubes of caulk might prevent dust from getting pulled up into living area, dust might be from old foam upholstery that has dried & flaked, falls onto floor
I have the same problem. A humidifier may help also, besides dusting with a damp cloth. I only dust when I can see it... about once a week... lol... if that! Plus, I gotta be in a cleaning mood to do it! ROFLH. There are air purifiers you can purchase that will help with your daughter's asthma too.
Good luck!
Make yo mama do it for you.
I use the swiffer duster thingy you buy at Walmart. I just do it once a day, it takes only a couple of seconds. Quick and easy, once every two weeks or so, I go around and pledge just to polish the furniture.
If you have carpets in your home,it's difficult to keep the dust away, because carpets are one reason for the dust. So try to keep clear your carpets (with a hoover that cleans with water for example) to reduce the product of dust.
Also try to keep clear fabric/ fluffy things that you have in your rooms (pillows, courtains, couch)
When change your bed sheets, avoid to flick them in to the room.
Also, before buy your furniture or things for your home, choose those with colour, that helps you to make the dust don't seem.
General, remove fabric / fluffy things or keep these clear, to reduce tha dust.
I use my rainbow vacuumcleaner it has a waterfilter. , so the dust stays in the water. you could buy one of those air cleaners with hepa filter. I hope I was somewhat helpful. Have a great day.
Use a damp cloth instead then dry of with another cloth afterwards. i find this keeps dust to a minimum.
