How do i get grease stains out of a carpet?
Question:i have just a few spots on a dark pink carpet.
Answers:
try using a cleaner called Simple Green. you can buy it from Walmart. it works great on grease and any hard to remove stains. i learned about this in the military. we used it on everything.
Well, I like to try 409 cleaner. It will usually get grease out pretty well. Just spray it on, let it sit for a minute or two, then wipe it up.
First use WD 40 really it works and then use a good carpet cleaner or Dawn liquid that get rid of grease from dishes.
use rubbing alcohol on a clean rag, just kept tapping it with the rag,it works for me,hopes this helps.

Important - Always read and follow the care instructions and any warnings provided by the carpet manufacturer. Rugs and carpets with natural fibers and/or certain dyes may require special treatment. If in doubt contact a cleaning professional for advice/service. Also follow these General Rules for stain treatment.
* Remove as much of the grease as possible by blotting with a white paper towel or scraping with a dull knife.
* Apply isopropyl rubbing alcohol to a clean white cloth, white paper towel or cotton ball. If the spot extends deep into the pile use a blotting motion until the spot is removed or no color is transferred to the cloth. Do not allow the alcohol to penetrate into the backing as this will destroy the latex bond. If the spot is on the surface only, rub in one direction at a time. Never us a circular motion to remove spot as this may destroy the texture. Stop if spot is removed. If not, go to the next step.
* Apply a small quantity of detergent solution to the spot. (To make the detergent solution mix 1/4 teaspoon of a hand dish washing detergent which does not contain lanolin or bleach with 1 quart of water; examples of safe detergents are Dawn® and Joy®.) Use a blotting motion to work the detergent into the affected area. If spot is being removed continue applying detergent and blotting with a white paper towel until spot is removed.
* Rinse with tap water using a spray bottle, blot to remove excess moisture.
* Spray lightly with water, do not blot this time; apply pad of paper towels and brick and allow to dry.
* If there is still some stain on the carpet and blotting is not removing it, then moisten the tufts in the stained area with 3% hydrogen peroxide. Let stand for on (1) hour. Blot and repeat until carpet is stain free. Light will cause peroxide to change back to water so no rinsing is necessary. Apply pad of paper towels and weight down with brick.
get some kitchenpaper towels and a warm iron and iron it off
I would try Grease Lighting , if that fails try Lyestoil and then use a degreaser to remove that.
first i would get dawn dishwashing liquid mixed with very hot water, let it soak in just a minute. scrub with a toothbrush, but work from the outside in as not to make the spot any bigger. you should blot up the mess with a white paper towel or some sort of white cloth./also you could try that OxyClean mixed with hot water also. do that spot and then you will need to do the whole carpet. that stuff is good, i used it on a house to clean the carpets, which had grease and other stains on it. worked quite well.
Pour some baking soda or salt over the spot and let it soak up all the grease. Works every time
It is important to always follow the carpet manufacturers guidelines if you know. In the real world sometimes we do not so this method is proven safe and effective on all caprets.
gently remove excess using lint free white paper towel or cloth. Use a quality dry cleaning solution and follow the instructions. our favorite brand is "AFTA" and you can find it at many major hardware chains. always be sure to use that white lint free cloth for best results. the dry cleaning solution should remove the grease and not damage your carpet.
