Removing nail polish from wood furniture...?

Question:How do you remove old, dried nail polish from wood furniture? I also need a way that is safe to use around small children. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Answers:
The only thing that will get nail polish off is acetone (nail polish remover) but it will also take off any varnish or polyurethane and any stain on your furniture. You'll likely have to have that area refinished after you remove the nail polish.

Sorry

or try white spirit, just make sure you rinse it off afterwards.
I had the same problem and used acetone free nail polish remover and it worked well, you would never know i had nail polish on my furniture. Do NOT USE remover with acetone in it as it will also remove the finish on your furniture.
Good Luck
