How can I remove candle wax...?
Question:From a kitchen plate? Thanks!
Answers:
Place an ice cube on the wax and it should solidify more, making it easier to chip away. Then use a straight razor.
microwave it or something using heat
EASY! Let it soak for afew minutes in really hot water. It will slide right off!
put the plate in the freezer for and hour and it should just pop off
A razor blade
Rinse with very hot water - the heat will melt the wax
try rubbing an ice cube on it to harden it more and then flake it off
DO NOT DO WHAT "datgirl88" said - this will melt the wax even more and make it run down the plate and stick again.
Instead, put the plate in the fridge (not freezer, as the plate will crack) until the wax is hard. Then pick it off.
put the plate into the freezer if it is particularly thick and hard...when cold..put your finger nail next to it and push hard...or a knife edge. Or microwave the plate...until it melts then blot with kitchen towel (careful not to burn fingers if it is hot) If it is then a thin streak as it cools you can revert back to my first suggestion.
In oven or grill for a few minutes, wipe with kitchen-roll
a plate?! i thought you were going to say something difficult, like carpet.
fridge 30 mins, to easy
Why is everyone making this such hard work? I just gently pick it off with my thumb nail and if there is any fine residue I rub gently with one of these mesh scourers that you can use on non-stick cookware. No problem.
