I have a dvd that is covered in hairspray residue, what can I use to clean it?

All you have to do is clean your DVD with a little bit of rubbing alcohol.
Rubbing Alcohol should work.
wipe it down and rinse and dry.

My dad gets Netflix, and when you get a Damaged DVD, they send you a thing of tips, and he told me it said to simply used a little bit of soap and water. I tried that and it worked.
Who knows, looks like rubbing alohol seems to be the most popular choice, so I'm assuming it works quite well.
I would suggest licking it off...
