Can I use household cleaning bleach on my clothes?

Question:It's the same thing, right? Can I soak a white shirt that got discolored in the wash in some Clorox bathroom cleaner?

Answers:
I wouldn't do that. Bleach for clothes is really cheap so I would use that instead. Remember any bleach is very harsh and when you use bleach on your whites you run the risk of them yellowing if you use too much.

It is better to use a color remover sheet that are sold in the laundry section to prevent colors from running and to remove the color that transferred to your shirt. The ones I use are made by Shout and I use them in all of my loads to ensure there is no color transfer, they really work!

Yeah but if you have dried the peice that got stained it may just turn a yellowish color.
Well, for the whites it is. For the colors however - it will bleach them.
you can use either. if you want to run a load using the bathroom cleaner-fill the washer (to what ever level you need) add a 1/2 cup or so to the tub. run as usual.
i see it like this-if it's already stained--bleach can't hurt it any more... on colors too!
