How can I clean my room if it looks like a tornado and hurricane hit it all at once? Where do I start?

Question:My room is a complete and total disaster. Where should I start and how can I do this without buying anything?

Answers:
3 things...

1. Pick up trash and throw it away.
2. Pick up dirty laundry and put it in laundry basket or put it in the laundry room.
3. Remove dishes/pop cans.

Once you get those 3 done, everything else will be a breeze.

first of all you have to start at one corner then go around one way from there. throw everything away that you dont use at least 2 times a month or stuff youll never use the less things you have the neater your room will look like
Left 2 Right Bottom 2 Top
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.
id start by throwing away all the garbage, then sorting laundry. clean stuff on your bed to be folded and put away, the rest sorted into piles to be washed. if your able, it's often easiest to take everything out of you room, vaccum, then bring things back one by one and put them away properly. good luck!
strat with getting rid of all the things in your room that you dont want and throw it in a garbage bag. thats what I always do first. then I get a laundry basket and toss in all the clothes that need washing. I also toss out all the clothes I never wear and send them over to the goodwill. once you get the bulk of the mess sorted you can start organizing what you do what, clean up the furnature, vaccuum and hang up your clothes. its doable...you just need some motivation...try putting on your fav cd and just go to it. once I get started I find it hard to stop till I'm done.
I know your going to think this is funny but haha my name is Emilie to (just spelled with an IE (french canadian) and you will not belive it but a couple days ago my room was SOOOOOOOOOO messy (it was messer than yours TRUST ME!) but you know how my MOM ALWAYS tells me to clean my room(im 13 ok) so what i do is i go to one corner of the room and just start there like do strips horizontal and just keep it really tidey and it useually lasts for about a month then i get sOOOOOO lazy and like i DIE if i take one piece of clothing to the closet but whatever im sure your A LOT tidyer than me :)
This is the best way I know. Set your alarm clock to go off in 15 min´s time . Ready? go. All dirty clothes next to the bedroom door, along with any other thing´s that don´t belong in your room. Never waste time taking thing´s back to their rightful places until you have finished what you are doing, all clean clothes to the closet , jeans jumper´s top´s all folded and put in their rightful places, STOP. If you think you have had enough cleaning for the day then stop and have a rest, you need not do all in one day.15 min´s here and there will get your room cleaned up. If you think you would rather carry on with your after the alarm clock sound´s , then do the same again . Set your clock for another 15, min´s and carry on this way. Just remember even if you don´t finish all the work that need´s doing, always reward yourself, have a rest put your feet up , or come and ask/answer some Q here , but you must reward yourself. try for yourself, 15, min´s is not at lot, but you will be surprised as to how much work you can do in the short amount of time
Well if your over whelmed you could just set a timer, 10 or 15 minutes and do nothing but pick up stuff and throw away trash. Then see how far you've gotten. It helps. Sometimes I just look at my house and get over whelmed and don't know where to begin. I usually start with picking the stuff up off of the floor first. I sit down on the floor and start at it. You'd be amazed at what you can do.
