I am considering buying a carpet shampooer, any suggestions on a good one that will hold up?

Question:I am considering either a Bissell or Hoover, but am open to suggestions from different brands..hopefully someone that owns one and can list the pros and cons.

My mom bought one from Walmart made by Hoover and it works real well. I cleaned all my carpets and they are white. So I was real impressed with it and would use it again in a heart beat.
