How much can I put in my new front-load washer?
Question:The instructions for my new LG 3.5 cubic foot front-load washer don't say how much laundry I should load. Any ideas based on your experience? (Please don't say 3.5 cubic feet. Clothes can be stuffed or not into the same space.) Thanks!

with my front loader fill it right up. It's not like a top load so you don't have to worry about the agitator getting in the way or whatever if there are too many clothes. I guess I would saw about 1 and 1/2 rectangular laundry baskets do just fine in mine.
I wouldn't cramp and stuff it all in, but fill it up so that there is a little room and wash away. Hmm...about 10-12 pair of jeans, 15 towels, etc.
Wow, I never thought of 'how much' to put in, I just loaded it full BUT with enough room that they can agitate and get clean. Never overload, they won't get clean and it will put undo wear on the washer.
I don't know exactly but maybe you could call the place where you bought it and find out. Otherwise, maybe there's some info online if you do a search on it.
If you are really in doubt call the 800 number that should be in the book of instructions. I'm surprised they don't mention how to load the machine as over loading is a big problem. I was at a commercial laundry one time and a woman was stuffing a machine that was designed to wash small rugs, she was actually pushing the cloths in with her foot until the manager came over and put a stop to it, She wanted her monies worth.
I do the laundry here due to my wife being an invalid. I have a top load and use the "Medium" setting for most loads and "Super Wash" for 2 sheets and 2 pillow cases. IOW use common sense.
It depends on what brand of washer you have and the specifics of that model.
Look up your brand of washer online. You should be able to find the info there and if not you will be able to find a contact phone number to call and ask.
We found with ours, that as long as it wasn't spilling out the front when putting it in that it would all get clean. Basically stuff it in! Delicates are a little different, but with the rest we just loaded it up. Loved it! Cut the laundry time in half! Plus the dryer would actually dry it all. In one turn!
Well it depends on the washer, I also have gotten a new washer recently. Mine said i could fit up to 16 pairs of jeans - or something crazy like that. Best bet is, just wash like you used to, if you feel you can add more, then do it slowly, but you don't want to over-load it either, because that can break a washer.
You should put enough clothes in it so that the clothes still tumble. Do not fill it to the brim so that the clothes are packed tight. That is stupid. I've seen people doing this and they are stupid and don't have any common sense.
If you have an LG front load washer, I'm assuming it has a pretty large tub. Their front load washers tend to have very large tubs.
Your instruction booklet usually tells you what the capacity of the machine, however they usually don't explain it in simple terms.
