What could these mysterious marks be on our clothing?

Question:When we wash our dark colored clothing and take them out of the washer they have dies taken out of them like they have been bleach in certain areas. WE dont know what it could be because its not our washer because we had an old washer and it did it then n now we have a new one and its still happening. Its not the detergent because we have tried different kinds. And we also put the detergen in 1st and run the water then the clothing. So do you do what it could be!?! ITS RUINING ALL OUR CLOTHING!! pleez help!

Answers:
It might actually be your detergent. I don't know what kind you use, but some of the cheaper brands do that to clothes. Another suggestion is the sheets you put in the washer that are supposed to soak up any dies floating in the water. It might also be you water if you live in the city. I know that my city water has alot of chlorine in it.

it can be lotions or soaps you are using too. once they get on your clothes from your body they can stain clothing
This used to happen to me all the time... it looks like you have tried most of the things i do now... i think the most important thing is not to pour detergent directly on the clothes, and to use a "color safe" detergent... as long as i add the water and soap first and then the clothes it doesn't happen... good luck
You say you've tried different detergents, but keep in mind the new deterents have florescents and brightners added.
Try doing one load with just water softener, it's in the laundry isle. See if that makes difference.
Could it be a stain remover, like a prewash you spray on?
I've ruined lots of clothes with those.
You're not adding bleach to that little spout in the washer that says" for liquid bleach" are you?
The only time that has happened to me was when I did a load of colors and left it in the washer for too long before putting it in the dryer. Somehow, the clothes staying wet for too long bleached out certain spots. Also, when you're doing laundry, make sure that if you're using the bleach dispenser on the side of the washer, that you do colors first, whites last. There could be some bleach that is getting left over after a white load.
