I am feeling so lazy, what do U do to encourage yourself to do your sink full of dishes?

I just think about all the happy cockroaches (and other assorted beasts) that will be partying in my sink and in my kitchen. If you live alone, you could get rid of all your dishes and flatware, except for one of each. Keep one plate, one mug, one fork, one knife, one spoon and one cooking vessel (like a wok - you can cook eveything at the same time in a wok). You will never have a pile of dirty dishes to wash, and it won't take too long to wash what you use.

Another solution is to buy paper plates and plastic cutlery and just throw it all in the trash when you're done. Not too environmentally friendly, though. Or, you could invest in a dishwasher; loading it is easy, but unloading is a real chore.

Like Nike, JUST DO IT!!
Thinking about having a clean counter to wake up to the next day.
I gave you a star for this question because I should be doing my dishes, but I'm on FindHomeAnswers instead! I guess we have the same problem. LoL
Buy a dishwasher, and get a freaking life.
Think about the bugs you will get.
Get someone to help you and try to enjoy doing it together. If you don't have anyone to help you think about getting paper plates.
put on some really good music and I dance while I wash; it worked for me last night! hope I helped ;-)
Turn on the stereo and listen to some music while you do it. I call it 'motivational music' because you can lose yourself listening to it by paying more attention to the music, than the chore. You'll be done with the dishes before you know it.
I buy really great smelling dish soap and get the water real real warm and then I get off my butt and do them.

Try thinking about how you would feel if you had company just come to the house unexpected and unannounced. What would they think of you if your house was out of order like that.
I'll stare at them, then remember if I leave the unrinsed ones too long, it'll stink to high heaven. So I just bite the bullet and do them then do my best to keep up with them rather than starting from scratch all the time. You'll feel happier - especially in the heat. Do them early morning when it's not so hot.
let them stack up and when you dont have anything to put your food in then you will wash them or when a friend come by and sees that the shame will move you.
AT THE END OF THE WEEK JUST BEFORE YOUR PAYDAY WHEN YOU'RE ALMOST BUSTED,YOU WAIT UNTIL THERE ARE NO MORE CLEAN DISHES/DISHWARES TO USE---THEN, YOU EITHER EAT OUT/ORDER OUT,---OR DO THE D**NED DISHES!
I usually soak them them for about a half hour in hot soapy water before I wash them because by then they're easier to wash. Plus your done in no time and with some music playing in the back ground. That way you are more intuned with the music than the dirty dishes. Married 23 years and 2 full grown boys- believe me it helps with the music blasting in the back groung.lol
Turn up sum music and start gettn to it or whistle while you work!!!
I used to feel bad about not doing my dishes every day. So I made a plan B. Just do them on the weekend. I have no problem helping other people get theirs done...I am even happy to do them all on my own. Maybe we should invent a Do Your Dishes Club and just do each other's dishes.
just think about how much better you'll feel once you're done and don't have to worry about it anymore!
start washing... once you see progress, you'll be motivated to finish.
I am motivated by the fact that about 5 minutes after I put a dirty dish in the sink all these crazy little ants seem to come out of nowhere and it creeps me out, so i do the dishes and they go away.
My best trick, Palmolive Aroma Therapy Lavender with Ylang Ylang.. is the best! It's smell good and work good.. It get me going and in no time the dishes are done. Of course, if you listen to your favorite music it really help. Come on, do it!
if u can, buy a dishwasher , I hate doing dishes myself, but we rent, can't really buy one, but my 5 yr old girl offers to help sometimes, i do take her up, at least it gives me ahead start
... think about how many more dishes will be there tomorrow if you dont do them today....
cockroaches stay around for a long time
if you want to get any action at home do them. or just invest in paper plates and plastic sporks then you'll never have to do them. oh, you'll also need cups plastic ones like you get at keg parties
Start by putting the dishes in the sink with dish detergent and hot water. Let sit at least 15 minutes to soften any hardened foods. If you are a tv watcher, run into the kitchen during commercials and do as many as you can, repeat as many commercials as needed until they are done. Rinse and set out on a drying rack or clean towel. In the morning they will be dry and ready to put away.
buy a dishwasher or have some children and teach them to do the dishes.:)
Clean as you go and use paper plates.
i always till my self if i get that room cleaned then after its done then i can watch tv or what ever i want to do , then after i do what i want i go to do anthor room then do what ever i want agian till the whole house is cleaned sometimes i use commericals on tv to get stuff done then when show comes back on i sit and watch till the next commerical it works
Go do them. They will just be there in the morning and that's no fun.

The older I get the more I just want to get stuff out of the way and move on to the next thing.
Put them in the dishwasher.
