How do you clean a figurine like a Precious Moment?
Question:I am getting ready to sell my collection of Precious Moments and though they are in good condition they are dusty. They've been boxed for a long time...like 14 years. I've recently tried to clean a couple and have had no luck. I don't want to damage them and don't want to try to sell them all dirty looking. Any ideas would be great!
Answers:
Try a soft old toothbrush with some warm soapy water and then rinse and dry. They should be as good as new.
toothpaste I know it sounds funny but it works
Spray with spray cleaner, rinse and dry.
I wouldn't use anything wet on them if you can avoid it. If it is just dust, try a soft paintbrush to dust them.
I don't know if the boxes they come in give any recommendations. You might ask the manufacturer via the net.
I used to clean for a lady that a huge collection of precious moments and longberger baskets...we used the small soft paint brushes.they will get into the small cevices and not damage the finish...good luck!
plain warm water and mild dish soap unless you prefer no h2o then a can of compressed air will due
