Does anyone know of a powerful hand vacuum cleaner to pick up dog hairs on stair carpet.?

Question:

Answers:
You know what? It's FAR easier and faster to just give the stairs a quick brush over with a very stiff hand brush and then hoover up what you dislodge. Hoovers aren't really much good at that stuff - certainly not hand-held ones. Good luck!

dirt devil...
If you live in the US I'd go for Shark products. Small and very powerful. Best with cable. Disadvantage: Noisy. To be found for instance at Bed, Bath and Beyond or Amazon.com.
A Dyson is the best I think- I have experience of a VERY hairy dog!!
The Dyson Animal is built for this purpose but it is expensive.
It comes with all the attachments you will need to reach every part of the house.
Henry is a good cleaner and costs under £100 its beats Nilfisk
Anyone with a dog will tell you, A stiff hand brush, 1st answer got it in one.
A brush works best, or put a rubber glove on your hand and slightly wet it- this picks up the hairs really well.
I really like my handheld, cordless shark vacuum. It does a really good job on dog hairs and stairs. If anyone knows of something better, I want to know what it is also!
Yup! First answer...Stiff brush. However, I would consider wearing a dust mask, as it gets up your nose and then sneeze for hours, lol
